About the Project

Cartoonist, Mattie Lubchansky wanted to improve the performance of a typeface, based upon their hand-lettering, that had originally been produced through on online service. Working to maintain the expressiveness of hand-lettering, improvements were made to the typeface's spacing and letterforms, while glyphs were added to improve the scope of the typeface.

Continuing work to turn Lubhand into Lubhand Pro will include the addition of an italic, a bold weight, more alternate glyphs, and possibly an ultra expressive version for display sizes.
