Project Seed - Unity Ideas

Some assorted ideas about things to build in Unity:

The Instagram Museums

  1. Color Factory, Museum of Ice Cream, Immersive Van Gogh, etc. What does thi sbecome in the future? What are the “selfies” of the future?
  2. Maybe its about some weird hair dye, tattoo, or temporary biohack. I’m thinking it’s something that allows you to “perform” that you had an artistic experience more so than it actually engages you with an artistic experience. Not very risky.
  3. Maybe its a museum that always takes a full day and it reacts to you and allows you to build a world and then share it somehow?
  4. The sharing seems to be a key element.

Museum of Sleep

  1. In the future, sleep is no longer a necessity. It’s a luxury; a vacation. There was a virus that caused a specific eradicating insomnia and only a certain percentage of the population survived. Those who survived created a population for whom sleep was no longer neccessary. Once sleep became optional, people began to explore how to capture more from their dreams. Co-dreaming, dream movies, pulling objects from a dream are all the norm.
  2. Museum could be about how we people of the past used to sleep? Or about famous dreams/dream objects?

Time Museum

  1. At some point, there was a rip in the fabric of space/time which created a hole on our planet where there is no time. The museum contains the hole. Moving outward from the hole time moves progressively closer to our current speed. So closer to the center of the museum means that time moves slower. Several of the rings are museums/living spaces for the ultra wealthy who have managed to prolong their lives by living here. They go so far as to rearranging their rooms to sleep and work in the areas that are closest to the center of the museum. Food is grown here and is able to extend some of the time slowing properties outside of the museum. Moving even closer to the center is no longer a luxury because of how slow time moves. There are even sections used for jails/punishments where people can spend multiple life sentences. The center of the museum holds valuable items from history that are most suceptable to the effects of time. For example, the slice of cake that President XYZ was eating when they were assasinated. These items can be safely viewed at a distance, from the more temperate temporal zones.
  2. I think maybe you are in the museum, but you aren’t supposed to be. You are there to change, break, steal, or insert something. Also, maybe there are worm-hole farms?

Zombie Game

  1. A game that starts with that moment you had in traffic in the fog after a bad day at work. The song Inner Flight by Makaya McCraven. comes on, and the car is slowly surrounded by creatures, humans and otherwise. You have to start making decisions. Leave the car or stay?
  2. The game progresses to imitate decisions that I experienced and had to make when evacuating from Katrina and then eventually escaping an abusive relationship. Questions of location, safety, loyalty. Having to make a decision that puts others at risk by your leaving, as a gamble to keep them safe.
  3. Maybe character that you're playing as gets pregnant, and this effects the gameplay somehow? Different abilities. But also suddenly different priorities. More cautious with your own digital body.
